About The Conference

Discovery of electron is the revolution that helped in the largest automation through communication, instrumentation, and the internet, changing dynamically the electronics and communication industry. Initiating the conference, i-manager's Virtual Conference on Electronics and Communication: Loading Intelligence on Future Electronics (VCEC: LIFE2020), the objective is to bring current researches in electrical, electronics and communication that will help to sustain and improve the quality of human life in this pandemic era. This conference expects papers on groundbreaking researches on Internet of Thing (IoT), sustainable and economic use of electricity, instrumentations on healthcare and medical diagnoses, digitized money, information exchange and dynamics of business, all with the help of electronics. The conference will bring two keynote addresses from eminent academicians that will be inspiring and intuitive, followed by paper presentations selected by the Technical Committee Members.

About The Organizer

Dr. Kim Ho Yeap

(Associate Professor, UniversitiTunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.)

Dr. Kim Ho Yeap received his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Petronas University of Technology (UTP) in 2004, Master of Science in Microelectronics from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2005, and PhD in Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) in 2011. In 2008, he was funded by both Tunku Abdul Rahman University and University of Oxford to undergo 2 months of research attachment in University of Oxford. In 2015, he was funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) to undergo 3 weeks of research attachment in Nippon Institute of Technology (NIT) in Japan. Yeap is a senior member of the IEEE and IETI, a member of the IET and IAENG, as well as, a graduate member of the IEM. He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the UK Engineering Council and a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. From July 2005 to December 2007, he was a lecturer with Tunku Abdul Rahman University (Malaysia) in the KL campus. In early December 2007, he was deployed to the Perak main campus. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology. Throughout his career, Yeap has served in various administrative capacities, including the Head of Programme of Master of Engineering Science, the Head of Department of Electronic Engineering and the chairperson of the Self-Assessment Committee. He has been actively involved in teaching, as well as research. Since 2005, he has taught more than 10 different subjects. Yeap's research areas of interests are in electromagnetics and microelectronics. Since 2006, he has published about 68 international refereed journal papers, 4 local refereed journal papers, 39 international conference proceedings, 6 books, and 12 book chapters. He also serves as the reviewer for 2 book chapters, 19 journals and 60 conferences / symposiums / workshops. Yeap is the external examiner and external course assessor of Wawasan Open University. He is the Editor in Chief of the i-manager’s Journal on Digital Signal Processing. He is a member of the advisory board of the International Journal of Electronics, Communication and, Computer Technology, Advances in Computational Research, and the World Research Journal of Telecommunications Systems. He is also a member of the Editorial board of the Advanced Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Scientific Journal, International Journal of Engineering and Manufacturing, as well as, Journal of Advanced Research in Microelectronics and VLSI.

Dr. P. Sanjeevikumar

(Assistant Professor, Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark.)

Dr. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban is a Faculty Member with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Esbjerg, since 2018. Earlier he served an Associate Professor at VIT University, India, and with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. He received the Graduation in Electrical Engineering (2002) from the University of Madras, Chennai, India, Post graduation (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering (2006) from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India and his Doctorate in Electrical Engineering (2012) from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy. He continued his research activities with the Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin, Ireland, in 2014. He was also a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar, funded by the Qatar National Research Foundation (Government of Qatar). During his tenure as researcher and teacher, he has authored over 300 scientific papers. He is a member in IEEE, since 2012 and a senior member since 2015. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. He is an Editor/Associate Editor/Editorial Board for refereed journals, in particular the IEEE SYSTEMS JOURNAL, IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications, IEEE ACCESS, IET Power Electronics, IET Electronics Letters, and Wiley-International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Subject Editorial Board Member—Energy Sources—Energies Journal, MDPI, and the Subject Editor for the IET Renewable Power Generation, IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and FACTS journal (Canada). S. Padmanaban was the recipient of the Best Paper cum Most Excellence Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON'13, IET-CEAT'16, IEEE-EECSI'19, IEEE-CENCON'19 and five best paper awards from ETAEERE'16 sponsored Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering by Springer. He is also an editor of the forthcoming book “Residential Microgrids and Rural Electrifications” to be published by Elsevier. He has delivered several Keynote addresses in several international conferences.

Mr. Bhoopendra Singh

( Co-Founder & Director, i2TB Research Foundation, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. )

Mr. Bhoopendra Singh is the Co-Founder and Director of i2TB Research Foundatio at Gurgaon, Haryana, India. He received his B.Tech in Electronics & Communication from NIT, Kurukshetra in 1985 and M.Tech in Computer Science from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers at New Delhi in 1994. He has an overall experience of more than 35 years in various industries, technologies, academy and entrepreneurship. He had served in Public Sector Units in India like BEL and ECIL involving in R&D projects related to telecom and defense in the area of command control and communication system in military and civil aviation. He devised Technology Road Map for telecom and defense product definition leading to System Architecture Design. He was head of projects deliveries at Aricent (formally known as Flextronics software system) and Hughes Software involving projects on wireless mobile, Call Control, Video conferencing, Test Automation and tools. He was also heading the Technical Competence Building team at Aricent focusing on design and delivery, ensuring effectiveness of the overall program in the area programming, software engineering, testing, real time embedded system, wireless mobile system and network management. He was Guest Faculty at BITS Pilani for M.Tech Data Science (Industry) program during 2019-20. He was the faculty for conducting CEP programs for Engineering college faculties at IIT-Delhi for Big Data in the year 2015 and Evaluation of M .Tech (CS and E&C ) thesis at IIT-Delhi in the year 2010. He was visiting faculty for system software at IMS, Ghaziabad in the year 1994. He had conducted the following training and seminars: • Cloud computing at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad in 2013. • Mobile Network & Linux at HMR Institute of Technology & Management, New Delhi in 2015 • Startup ecosystem/ entrepreneurship at Government Engineering College, Bikaner, Rajasthan in collaboration with NIT, Kurukshetra in 2019. Since 2012, he has been mentoring Start-Ups mainly in innovation for technology and business focusing on Telecom, mobile (4G,5G and beyond), cloud computing, big data , AI/Machine learning, Block chain , IoT and cyber security. He has three startup to his credit i2TB in the area of technology incubation and acceleration; Apoorva Career Academy aimed in guiding the aspiring students towards competitive and careers preparation; and PROP TECH involving in B2B portal for Real Estate business. His area of current research interests are in Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI/ML, IOT, Block chain, Future Mobile Wireless Networks (4G ,LTE, 5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, 6G), Cyber Security and Ecommerce Technologies.

  • Authors are invited to submit their full lengthresearch paper through the online submission system available in the conference website www.imanagerconferences.com. The topics covered in the conference are mentioned in the conference website.

  • All the submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer review process by experts in the field constituting the Technical Committee. Full papers selected by the Technical Committee will be published in electronic format in the Conference Proceeding of VCEC: LIFE2020. All these selected papers will be intimated for online presentation (time limit 10 minutes) to individual authors one week in advance prior to the date of the conference. Extended version of the papers will be published after double blind review and approval by Editor-in-Chief, in relevant Journals published by imanager Publications.

  • The length of the papers should NOT exceed for Research papers (10 pages) and for Articles (6 pages). Selection of the papers would be based ONLY on the report of the Technical Committee. Acceptance is based on condition that at least one author will register and present the paper at the conference. VCEC: LIFE2020 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from Conference Proceedings) if the paper is not presented at the conference or if any plagiarism is found at a later date.
